midwinter feelings

this is how I feel (a lot of the time)..................its quite interesting.
I am looking forward to looking at the red shoes film in detail again very soon.

Glad to blow my little silver trumpet and tell you that a recent book that I made with the musician and zine maker natalia beylis CAME FIRST !!
in the annual winter  art exhibition open season at the Dock Arts Centre , in Carrick - on - Shannon.I will upload some images as soon as I get some.
The show runs until february 4th 2013.

hows things folks ?

hello friends ,I  still havent decided what to do with my dear blog, I wish I was better at the tech end of things , I just get SO OVERWHELMED !
So I hope you will forgive me for not posting any new images here for awhile . I will be super busy as I have just (THREE markets left in Galway,Saturdays 8th 15th 22nd) , I  finish Saturday December 22nd and I will not return until mid-late march next year !
Imagine.
I have so much other work to catch up on and shows to see etc and beautiful daughters to care for .....
Thank you to all the people who continue to support my work by visiting my stall on saturdays , buying a card,clothes,beloved objects, commenting and emailing me and just being there for me.
I really mean it when I say out loud , its a lonely road at times being dedicated to your art but for me its one I have never regreted taking.

sunday was a wonderful day spent with my dearest friend where I saw this mirror and plastic boat in a stream
 we watched an amazing film , 18 short films all love letters to Paris watch it if you can

lots of lovely things are happening for my work,the above exhibition, my dear drawing primula has flown the nest .I traded her with an artist friends (one of the organisers of the huntersmoon festival) beautiful minature books .
the drawing bird flower bird was amazingly bought by a woman at my market stall on saturday who fell in love with the image of the original on my cards.Of course I cannot sell my originals at the market ,wrong context , too windy damp etc ....but the cards of my work are really making a connection with people.(thank you all and specially tracy and natalia)
Today was a gift of a morning in which I managed a cycle with my beloved ,

a walk with a dear friend and my 3 dogs and do some washing ! The last two pics are from round the bog.It is now lashing rain , so glad to get out and see that light , which of course needs the rain and the dark skies to look so otherwordly............

I had a great time at the Hunters Moon Festival festival , some of my highlights were Josephine Foster and the above artists.

As you know I had three drawings in the art exhibition and I also had a pop up solo zine fair, with just me and one record stall.Thanks so much to the people who supported me on the day buying cards a few artists books and chatting about my work.
Thanks to Willie , Natalia and Caroline for organising a very unusual and challenging art happening in North West Ireland respect to all the artists who travelled from far to make it happen.
