the above two photos and the second one down were taken only last week .....and I was very appreciative of the sun peeking through and the magical light over at my favourite bog where I walk my dogs.
Then out of the blue this sunday......we got a special 4 days of heat and proper grown up sun just in time for my return to the market.
As my regular readers know I have a market stall from mid march till christmas .So here are some of the lovely treasures I was buying to bring next saturday , the marigold colour of the 1960's coffee set is perfect for the welcome sun.
I appreciate all weathers , I really do ,and although it is lovely to have heat and super bright , to be honest ,I am just at home in  the more melancholic days.
In the studio I am quitely working on my drawings that cendrine sent me and when we have drawn on each others work we will exhibit them here.

I have been thinking a lot about how important light is to me 

*magical light in my studio (I love how it just visits and surprises me)

*red cardinal on my youngest daughters desktop (light incarnate) 

*screen still from movie I watched late at night with my second daughter(magical memory light)

*lucy mckennas hauntingly beautiful solo show recently was full of otherwordly light , and this piece was called lakesky

in darkness light exists........

its not ready yet ....but this is a very very little bit to keep the magic going

It felt good to get these in the post to france to my dear friend and artist collaborator cendrine.

It is sunny and bright here and that always makes things really positive.

I also made jewellary yesterday with my eldest daughter and that felt pretty special , she has a fantastic eye , and I hope will put her pieces up on her blog as they are beautiful.
