cowslips are go !!!!!

....I had such fun yesterday !
We just snuck out with the dogs over to see if we could see some rabbits , no rabbits anywhere but I found loads of beautiful cowslips .....such cheerful little wild spring flowers .
The field we were in, belonged to a lovely old lady who let me dig up a small clump of cowslips which are now hopefully taking root under a bush here.
When I got back in the studio , I was able to do a massive big clear out and re-organisation frenzy :)
I can see my drawing table and I feel giddy .

alls well,.....and I am enjoying just being and not doing much ........ , my energy is returning slowly, I got excited on my return from a 5 mile cycle... (I assure you I was being with the whole feeling of cycling... I wasnt doing it you see)...... seeing the connections between my red clogs ,the red on the little tin and my lovely sprouting forsythia twiglets.
I am lucky to be able to show some work again with tinderbox , the collective that I am a proud member of. I cant go up to Dublin this time but a little blue horse and edith holden will ably represent me .Good luck with the show all at tinderbox.

I was out early this morning and I found this tiny handwritten sign and a book of 1920,s childrens book illustations ...(at a little sale).......that was great .
Then I had to help the easter bunny hide eggs,its very cold and grey here at the moment..... and my eye is scaning for yellow (in desperation).
The lettering was my Dublin gift to myself . It is lettering from 1870....(sigh) and I found it in a tiny little antique stall where the woman let me take photos of the other prints that I could not afford :)..... ie..the bird print and another coming in the next post.
I feel my energy coming back and am looking forward to making a new drawing soon soon .

on my way home to the train back to the west , I had one more look from the outside at our show
on the way home aboard the train ...yes folks there was a random blizzard , just to make things even more exciting !
I have to say that I am still on a high from mondays opening at filmbase in Dublin.
Just to meet all my fellow tinderboxers was so exciting and positive.(hello dears)
The feeling of my work being out there, feels fantastic and exhilirating.
I enjoyed the whole process of hanging the show with the others,having lunch and planting new ideas for our future .
Then at the opening to meet old friends who live in the capital ,that I had not seen for years ,was awesome .
Thank you to all those around and within me that helped to make this happen.
Art brings people together, it is empowering,hopeful and just plain essential to our sense of who we are or can be collectively.
