Its spring Its spring Its spring...yipee !

I am SO excited , what a gift to be able to sit in a shaft of sunlight thinking about stuff.. cycling in the sun and general sunniness and what it does to you. I am sold ,heres my altar today sporting a springy yellow sprig that I plucked on my way home this morning from a particularly springy walk..oh check out the manic cats on my old sweet tin and my name broach bought I think, whilst on a childhood holiday in Pontins holiday camp.

guess its just about six more wednesdays in this corner at college ..feels strange, I am physically at the doorway leading into a junkyard ..oopps! I mean into another world, here is what I made yesterday ...

Its fun looking through my old work that I have kept for one reason or another , to see the links with present work and stuff etc.,the funny thing is I was saying similar things to what I am now , but then I wasn,t able to see it.
One thing for sure , going to college does help you to develop a language , to put a frame around what you practice day in and day out. And sometimes....if you are lucky then you start seeing connections and then....its like how the stars form themselves in the sky ( "really ?...".oh yes really " ..hee hee !)

feather dress

I collected these swans feathers on a lovely walk last week with my father ,sister and daughter......I bought the adorable knitted fairies dress from my secret "knitting ladies"...

been editing my film ALL DAY and its only 1 min 22 sec ,feel its going well , ho hum ,had to let go of lots of ''good bits'' to stay true to the essence of the piece, meaning I have a lot of excess -doll in the snow footage-, anyone interested !, her time will come , just you wait and see.......

Had a great day at college yesterday. I have only got 12 weeks left ,um, I actually feel fine about that , wouldn't want to get institutionalized or anything ! Studying for a degree over 6 years has been amazing. A real priviledge, to be able to learn in a way that is part of your whole life. It has introduced an increased awareness and vigilance that has become part of my practice as an artist
As I have become stronger as an artist, weirdly enough, my work has become more fragile, in its form. I know that it is an ongoing process , but, the more work that I see, it makes me want to say less and less and less..... resonance and meanderings are my work, um is there anybody out there ?

I have a piece in this and really hope to make it , but the impending big snow may get in the way....bother !
