Galway market, every Saturday you will find *** Jane O'Sullivan's carefully considered gleanings and art work just for you.
hey if you are reading this, welcome, just a few recent images to keep my blog fresh :)
I love to make really interesting selections of articles to sell on my saturday market stall,in Galway in the west of Ireland, by the sea !!
These objects are to compliment the hand made clothes and hats that feature in the staring role.....you can find some very unusual and interesting artefacts, mostly things that I have loved and now am letting go from my studio.
Last week a lovely customer bought the 1920's postcard album above, it had a hand painted front !
Above that is a hand drawn cotton bag...available still !!, the crazy cool horse lighter has been sold, but the tiny pressed metal broaches at the top are new in this Saturday, well they are very old, but from my own collection, I guess they are from 1940's.
farewell for now

Jane's December ****selection box*** a beautiful day out to the sea last week and Christmas wishes from Towser the Whippet.
we were sitting on an old upturned gravestone having our picnic looking out at THIS !!! just last week, feeling very blessed and lucky.
A time out of time day.
a bird and an angel,adorable.
my dear friend at the ruins
The above images are from the beautiful Burrishoole cemetry last week
on the day of the full moon. My friend and I had a picnic and watched the sun play on the sea of clew bay.
We also tramped round an old ruin of a beautiful house which must have been most handsome in its day, made of bricks and fine flagstones.
This is my dear dog Towser, who was reading my Before the Dawn, the concert progamme of Kate Bush's 2014 concert.
Kate Bush and dream of sheep (live)
Towser would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas on behalf of his family.
A time out of time day.
Please click on the gravestone images the detail is very beautiful.
I was amazed to see the woman with her arms up in the air, a very rare and unusual image to find, and yet sadly it is weathering away.
my dear friend at the ruins
This gravestone is pre- famine,1790 just look at the beautifully inscribed hand tools, such nice lines.
an evocative old metal bed head,so simple yet a work of great craft
